Ariane Bretl
Ariane Bretl is a research assistant at The Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability, supporting data analysis, quality control, and project management. Before joining the Salata Institute, Ariane worked as a Clean Transportation Intern at Green Energy Consumers Alliance, where she conducted research on local and national clean energy policies and programs related to electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and more. Ariane is particularly interested in corporate sustainability strategies and the intersection between environmental stewardship and smart, resilient business practices. In her free time, Ariane enjoys reading, baking, puzzles, and being active. Ariane holds an MS in Environment & Sustainability Management from Georgetown University and a BA in Environment & Sustainability from Cornell University.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
