Climate Policy Summer Internship Pilot Program 

The Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability at Harvard University is piloting a Climate Policy Summer Internship Program in partnership with the Massachusetts State House.

Program Description

The Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability at Harvard University is piloting a Climate Policy Summer Internship Program in collaboration with the Massachusetts State House. The pilot program will facilitate the placement of up to three Harvard students, undergraduate or graduate, in legislative offices that are addressing climate, environmental, or sustainability issues in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The program provides professional development opportunities for Harvard Students to explore career pathways at the intersection of climate and public service. 

Program Funding: 

The Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability will compensate each Climate Policy Intern at a rate of $20.00 per hour for their work. 

Program Duration: 8-12 weeks (flexible based on legislative office) 

Program Qualifications: 

Undergraduate or graduate student at Harvard University 

Application Instructions: 

Interested students should apply directly to participating legislative offices by following the application instructions outlined in that office’s internship posting.  

Participating legislative offices: 

Participating legislative offices will be responsible for intern application review and selection. The Salata Institute cannot guarantee placement.
