• Harvard Alumni Disaster Preparedness and Response Team

• • Connects alumni interested in helping individuals and communities prepare for and recover from disasters such as pandemics and storms. Activities include providing impacted alumni and their communities with free access to confidential advice from specialists, shipments of critical supplies, volunteers to work directly in the aftermath of an incident, and long term strategies to help communities plan their rebuilding efforts in areas such as urban planning, public health, and education.

ClassACTs is a vehicle to bring classmates and others together to address important local, national and international problems including climate, environment, and sustainability challenges and solutions.   We are committed to positive change, together. We do this by bridging gaps between existing nonprofit efforts and classmates’ expertise, sharing news of progress and ideas, and learning about ways we can help others by collaborating with each other in larger Class Acts such as the Benazir Bhutto Leadership Program.

Alumni-led and spanning six continents, Harvard Clubs offer vibrant, geographically-based communities with their own local flavor. In addition to networking and social programming, many Clubs host climate and sustainability events and even have special interest groups (SIGs) focused on environmental topics.

For example, the Harvard Club of New York features a Climate and Resilience SIG open to all HCNY members. Be sure to check out the resources and programming offered by your local Harvard Club—you may find opportunities to connect with others passionate about climate work or even start your own SIG or host a sustainability-related event.

Harvard Climate Entrepreneur’s Circle is a selective incubation program for high-potential ventures working to address climate change.  Climate Circle participants have access to world-class coaching, legal counsel, warm connections to industry leaders, and a peer group of ventures that are all working on innovative solutions to tackle climate change.

HBS/Harvard Alumni for Climate Action is a group of HBS alumni and other Harvard-affiliated people who wish to make a large and positive climate change-related difference in the world.
