Event Image
Join us for an engaging conversation with Harvard faculty and students who have been researching and studying issues that are critical to the Amazon region’s climate and sustainable development. This event will showcase projects related to environmental science, public health, illegal gold mining, biodiversity and public policy. We will also highlight recent Harvard programs in the Amazon, including the Harvard Amazon Rainforest Immersion, organized by Harvard’s DRCLAS Brazil Office with the support of the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability, and the Public Health Collaborative Field Course held in Manaus, led by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Whether you are a student, a researcher, or simply passionate about environmental issues, this event will inform your understanding of several crucial challenges facing the Amazon, provide a glimpse at some of the work that Harvard affiliates are undertaking in the region, and connect you with an inspiring group of panelists and audience members who are working to leverage knowledge in service of the rainforest and its people.
