Local Climate Action and Trump 2.0
Monday, Mar 31, 2025, 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm
Wexner Building, W-434 A.B. Conference Room, 79 JFK St., Cambridge

For 12 years — including four years under President Donald Trump -- Mayor Miro Weinberger (an HKS alum) led one of the most ambitious local climate efforts in the country, making Burlington, VT the first 100% renewable city in the country, electrifying everything, and reducing total community emissions 18% from 2019 to 2023. In this session we will discuss Burlington’s efforts, those of other state and local governments, and whether successes like this will still be possible and relevant during a second Trump term.
