Thomas Sisto, Co-founder and CEO of XL Batteries, will speak at the next Energy Seminar on Monday, February 9.
Join us for a conversation on XL Batteries’ organic flow battery technology, lessons from building the business case and financing models for long duration storage, and the emerging role of flow batteries in data center and AI-driven grid expansion.
Thomas Sisto is co-founder and CEO of XL Batteries, which is commercializing organic flow batteries for long duration energy storage. In 2025, XL Batteries commissioned its first pilot facility with Stolthaven Terminals and announced a partnership with Prometheus Hyperscale to deploy its energy storage solutions at data centers. Sisto is a synthetic organic chemist by training, with 10 years of experience in materials chemistry. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at Columbia University and obtained his PhD from the University of Oregon.
