Disentangling Climate Impact & Development Impact to Mobilize Climate Finance: The Green Swap
Monday, Mar 31, 2025, 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm
Virtual & Rubenstein Building, David T. Ellwood Democracy Lab, Room 414AB, 79 JFK St., Cambridge

Economic growth in Emerging Markets and Developing Economies is projected to remain closely tied to increasing emissions. However, the development and climate impacts of energy investments differ in their benefits, costs, and risks. Therefore, so must their financing.
In this Energy Policy Seminar, Akash Deep, Senior Lecturer in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School, will present a financial mechanism – the Green Swap – that disentangles climate impact from development impact to mobilize financing for renewable energy investment.
A Harvard University ID is required for in-person attendance; all are welcome to attend via Zoom.
