Climate Justice and Mass Incarceration

People who are incarcerated are disproportionately vulnerable to climate hazards, and this population is often ignored and/or excluded from conversations about climate change. Using the recent report, Hidden Hazards: The Impacts of Climate Change on Incarcerated People in California State Prisons, as a starting point for discussion, speakers will explore ways to address the potentially deadly challenges for those who are incarcerated, as well as areas for further study and action.
