Join us on April 9th, to hear from Nisha Desai, MBA ’97, Founder & CEO of Intention, Jock Gilchrist, Vice President of Sustainability at JPMorgan Chase, and Vid Mićević, Investor at Collaborative Fund, reflect on their career, education, and current work in climate and sustainability finance and investment.
Nisha Desai, MBA ’97, is the Founder & CEO of Intention, a climate impact investment platform for retail investors and consumers, and the managing partner of the Intention Climate Fund, a microfund investing in early-stage climate tech startups across the U.S. With extensive experience in the energy industry, Nisha has held leadership roles in six energy-related startups, including as co-founder and CEO of ActualSun. She also founded Aurora Clean Energy Partners, a boutique consulting firm advising on renewable energy growth initiatives and incubating new ventures.
Nisha previously served as Vice President of Distributed Generation at NRG Energy, leading strategy and engineering teams to deliver sustainable energy solutions. She was an independent director for the Puerto Rico Public Power Authority, where she played a key role in transformation plans after Hurricane Maria. A Yale and Harvard graduate, Nisha has also contributed her expertise through board roles with Greentown Labs, BikeHouston, and the US Department of Energy’s Blue Ribbon Task Force for Puerto Rico.
Jock Gilchrist is an accomplished professional with expertise in climate policy, climate finance, and sustainability strategy. He currently serves as Vice President of Sustainability at JPMorgan Chase, where he works to advance the firm’s environmental initiatives. Jock recently completed Yale’s Financing and Deploying Clean Energy certificate program (Class of 2024) and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy, with a concentration in climate policy, from Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2020. Recognized as an Emerging Leader by Environmental Entrepreneurs, he was also awarded a 1 Hotels Fellowship for his work on the business case for regenerative agriculture. Jock brings a dynamic combination of academic rigor and practical experience to driving sustainability in the financial sector.
Vid Mićević is currently supporting game-changing entrepreneurs in the sustainable development sector as an Investor at Collaborative Fund, with a background in founding Climate DC and serving as a Venture Scout at Enduring Planet. He holds an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology and has been involved in impactful roles such as Principal at Mission One Capital and Venture Selection Manager at Unreasonable.
