A Discussion with Former White House Building Sector Climate Policy Director
Thursday, Mar 27, 2025, 4:30 pm - 5:45 pm
B-400 Land Lecture Hall, Harvard Kennedy School, 79 JFK St., Cambridge

Join The Building Caucus at HKS & The Infrastructure & Housing Club at the GSD for a timely and thought-provoking talk with Heather Clark, former White House Senior Director for Building Sector Climate Policy (2022–2025), as she makes the case for uniting two of today’s most urgent movements: housing abundance and climate action.
In this session, Heather will explore how pro-housing policy and climate goals can align to create a clean, affordable, and equitable built environment. Drawing from her experience shaping national building sector climate policy in the Biden-Harris administration and her earlier work as an affordable housing developer, Heather will highlight the opportunities—and challenges—of integrating decarbonization, clean energy, and climate resilience into housing policy at scale.
