Vishwas Chitale
Vishwas Chitale leads the Climate Resilience team at The Council, focusing on risk assessment and resilience building. With over 15 years of experience, he has worked on digital solutions for climate risk reduction across Asia. Previously, he led the Artificial Intelligence for Climate Action program at GIZ in collaboration with NITI Aayog and spent eight years at ICIMOD, contributing to adaptation plans and ecosystem vulnerability assessments in the Himalayan region.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
