
Umendra Dutt
Umendra Dutt is the Founder Member and Executive Director of Kheti Virasat Mission, Punjab, leading efforts for sustainable farming, food safety, and seed sovereignty since 1996. He serves on the National Task Force on Organic Farming, the Executive Council of the National Institute of Plant Health Management, and the Indian Council for Forestry Research and Education. Dutt has organized numerous campaigns, workshops, and public dialogues addressing agrarian, ecological, and environmental health issues in Punjab.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
