
Uday Khemka
Uday Khemka is Vice-Chairman of the SUN Group, a diversified investment and industrial group with interests in renewable energy, electric mobility, natural resources, real estate, aerospace, and private equity. Before joining the SUN Group, he worked at Credit Suisse First Boston and Morgan Stanley, where he established and led Morgan Stanley’s India operations. He is also Vice Chairman of The Nand & Jeet Khemka Foundation, which has focused on climate change mitigation since 1992. His policy interests include institutional climate finance, renewable energy, and transportation electrification. Khemka has held advisory roles, including as Senior Climate Advisor to the Institutional Investors Roundtable and Co-Chair of the Clean Energy Finance Forum. His philanthropic work spans initiatives in climate action, online charity fundraising, and social development programs in India.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
