Tracey Saber
Tracey Saber is the von Clemm Fellow for the 2025–2026 academic year. She is spending the year at Harvard University GSAS as a visiting student, exploring the intersection of environmental policy and aerospace engineering.
Tracey completed her MEng in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, where she served as President of Engineers Without Borders Oxford and as a student representative at both departmental and divisional levels. She also served as the Student Champion for the Engineers Without Borders UK network, coordinating initiatives between university chapters across the country.
Her published research on wind farm optimization and her work on zero-carbon building design as well as battery recycling reflect her strong interest in sustainable engineering and the integration of technology and policy to address climate challenges. Through the von Clemm Fellowship, she aims to deepen her understanding of how engineering innovation can inform effective environmental policy and its application to challenges such as space debris mitigation.
In her free time, Tracey enjoys drawing, cooking, and playing basketball.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
