
Srinath Reddy
Srinath Reddy is an Honorary Distinguished Professor at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and the former President of PHFI. Previously, he led the Department of Cardiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and served as the first Bernard Lown Visiting Professor of Cardiovascular Health at the Harvard School of Public Health from 2009 to 2013. He holds adjunct professorships in epidemiology at Harvard, in public health at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, in medicine at the University of Sydney, and in medical ethics and health policy at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. Prof. Reddy has also held advisory roles with the governments of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, providing guidance on health with the rank of a Cabinet Minister. His extensive contributions to public health policy and capacity building in India span education, research, and advocacy.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so.
