
Sharon Block
Sharon Block is a Professor of Practice and the Executive Director of the Center for Labor and a Just Economy at Harvard Law School. A leading expert on labour and employment policy, she has served in senior roles across the U.S. government, including as Acting Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy at the U.S. Department of Labor during the Obama administration. At Harvard, she focuses on advancing research and policies to promote economic justice, worker empowerment, and equitable labour standards.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
