
Ritu Mathur
Ritu Mathur is a Professor at TERI University and Director of the Energy and Resources Institute at TERI. Trained as an economist, her work primarily addresses policy and regulatory aspects related to the energy sector, focusing on the potentials and challenges of cleaner energy choices, energy security, and development considerations of developing countries. Ritu serves on several committees, including the Expert Group on Low Carbon Strategies for Inclusive Growth and the Sustainable Growth Working Group of the U.S.-India Energy Dialogue led by Niti Aayog. She was also a lead author for Working Group III of the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report, which focuses on mitigation.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
