
Purvi Patel
Purvi Patel currently serves as a Senior Consultant for Heat-health and Green & Climate Resilient Health Facilities (GCRHF) at the National Centre for Disease Control. Since April 2021, she has been instrumental in managing the Heat-health response and developing climate change-water-health responses as part of the National Program on Climate Change and Human Health. Previously, from January 2019 to January 2021, Purvi worked as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the same institution, focusing on epidemiological surveillance and response in the New Delhi area. Her contributions are vital to advancing public health strategies that address environmental and climate-related challenges.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
