
Praveen Pankajakshan
Praveen Pankajakshan has expertise in machine learning, AI and signal processing with over two decades of experience across agriculture, education, energy, healthcare, and life sciences. He is adjunct faculty at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a visiting researcher and advisory committee member for the Harvard Data Science Initiative, and apex committee member with the AI CoE, Ministry of education, GoI, and research advisor at Sensei and Brighter Minds. Previously, Praveen was the Chief scientist and led the AI Labs at Cropin, where he combined AI, earth observation, and agriscience to drive sustainable agriculture and improve farmers’ livelihoods. He has also held leadership roles at Corteva Agriscience, Shell Technology Center, and Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, contributing to AI innovations.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
