
Peter John Huybers
Peter Huybers is a Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Harvard University whose research interests lie in developing a better understanding of the climate system and its implications for society. On-going research involves trends and predictability of extreme temperatures as well as implications of climate change for food production.
Huybers received a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1996 and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2004.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so.
