
Nikhil Kulkarni
Nikhil Kulkarni is serving as Head of City Engagement and Implementation for South and West Asia region at C40 Cities. He supports C40’s engagements with cities, other partners and overall efforts for climate action implementation in the region. Nikhil has about 15 years of experience in the urban development sector focused on cities and sub-national governments in various Asian countries that includes, climate action planning, structuring and leading climate projects on-ground, developing sectoral plans especially decarbonising the built environment, project management, implementing pilot projects and stakeholder engagements. He has a master’s degree in environmental engineering and diverse experience of working with leading nonprofits, industries, and research institutes in the climate space.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
