
Mihir Bhatt
Mihir R. Bhatt is a Director of the All India Disaster Mitigation Institute (AIDMI) which works at the intersection of humanitarian action, disaster risk reduction, and climate resilience.. Currently, he is working on creative ways to build the capacity of family farmers and female farmers for resilience in states of India; families reflecting and adapting to changing climate; and building heatwave resilience with a focus on extreme heat and floods drawing from learning with and by affected small businesses, casual labour, and migrants. He is an active member of networks including IUCN, ADRRN, CHS, ICVA, and he is on the board of Climate and Environment Charter of IFRC, ICRC, and ICVA that has and will look at climate and cities in resilience light. Advisory Group Member of the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance (ZCRA), Switzerland.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
