Jina Choe
Jina is a third-year at Harvard College double concentrating in architecture and environmental science and public policy. She is highly interested in alternatives to building materials and practices for less carbon-intensive structures as well as transportation infrastructure conversations in urban planning, whether it is building out public transportation systems or supporting the expansion of electric vehicle use. Jina is passionate about decarbonizing the built and will-be-built environment.
Outside of the Salata Institute, Jina serves as a co-Multimedia Chair at the Harvard Crimson where she oversees photo, video, and audio production. She was formerly a news writer reporting on the city of Cambridge and Allston. When she isn’t working or in the architecture studio, Jina enjoys baking, dancing, and cafe hopping.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
