University of California, Irvine
- Jane Baldwin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth System Science at the University of California, Irvine. Her research focuses on how large-scale atmospheric dynamics influence regional climate and climatic extremes, with applications to climate change and policy. She has worked on topics such as tropical cyclone risk, the influence of mountains on climate systems, and the temporal structure of heat waves, using advanced global climate modeling and observational analyses.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
