James E. Salzman is the Jeremiah Smith, Jr. Visiting Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and the Donald Bren Distinguished Professor of Environmental Law, with joint appointments at UCLA School of Law and the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UC Santa Barbara. A leading authority in environmental law, his work spans topics such as drinking water, policy instrument design, and markets for ecosystem services.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so.
