
Ibrahim Rehman
Ibrahim Hafeezur Rehman is the Director of the School of Sustainability at NAMTECH, with over 34 years of experience in energy, environment, and sustainable development. Until April 2024, he led VITO’s South Asia and India operations and served as CEO of VITO Arabia LLC. Previously, as Senior Director at TERI, he managed global initiatives such as the Lighting a Billion Lives Program and the UNDP Regional Energy Program for Poverty Reduction. His work spans energy access, biofuels, and clean cooking solutions across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. He has co-authored books and published extensively on sustainability and policy.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
