
Husamuddin Ahmadzai
Husamuddin Ahmadzai is an adviser on chemicals and waste at UNDP and a partner at Mensa Milieu HB, specializing in environmental consultancy. With over 45 years of experience, he has worked on environmental protection policies, resource and energy efficiency, climate change mitigation, and Arctic environmental protection. He has held advisory roles with the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and has chaired the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund of the Montreal Protocol. His consultancy work spans international organizations, including the World Bank, UNDP, UNEP, and UNIDO, as well as private and public sector enterprises.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so.
