
Emily Gurley
Emily Gurley is a faculty member in the Department of Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a primary affiliation in Infectious Disease Epidemiology. She also holds a joint appointment in the Department of International Health, specializing in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control. Her work focuses on infectious disease surveillance, outbreak detection, and the ecology of emerging pathogens, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches to prevention and control.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
