
Debarati Guha-Sapir
Debarati Guha-Sapir is the Director of the Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters at the Université catholique de Louvain, a role she has held since 1992. Her research focuses on climate security, social determinants of health, civil conflict and natural disasters, and child mortality. She has served on the Lancet-AUB Commission on Syria and the Lancet–SIGHT Commission on Peaceful Societies Through Health and Gender Equality.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
