Daniel Alain
Daniel Alain Evrard is a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at Harvard University and a James M. and Cathleen D. Stone Fellow in Inequality and Wealth Concentration. His research broadly examines processes of political, economic, and social change within and between communities, as well as the distributional consequences of such changes. D. A. has previously published several papers on the social impacts of decarbonization efforts and is currently conducting his dissertation fieldwork within a leading energy-producing community in the U.S., where he is seeking to gain first-hand insight into the challenges and opportunities that the so-called “energy transition” poses for such places.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
