Christine Seibert works as a project manager for Harvard’s Climate Action Accelerator, a pillar of the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability. Her previous experience includes working at Williams College equipping and empowering students to navigate institutional change and become advocates for the world they want to see. She is a two-term AmeriCorps alum, serving a State and National Term in Orono, ME working on home winterization and VISTA term in York, ME conducting a greenhouse gas inventory. In May, Christine graduated with her Master’s degree in Sustainability from Harvard’s Extension School where her capstone project examined what higher education institutions across the US are doing to engage with environmental justice in curriculum and practice and how Harvard can play a greater role in this work. Christine is passionate about student development, change management, and grounded action.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
