
Arya Gaduh
Arya Gaduh is a Professor of Economics at the Sam M. Walton College of Business. He is a National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) research associate, an Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) affiliate and a faculty fellow of the Association for Analytic Learning about Islam and Muslim Societies (AALIMS). He has been a consultant for the World Bank, RAND Corporation, and the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction (TNP2K) of the Indonesian government.
His research focuses on microeconomics topics related to education, labor, and urban economics in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). He employs econometrics and experiments to study policies to improve public service provisions in LMICs, both in remote-rural and urban settings. His research has been accepted or published in leading journals such as the American Economic Review, AER: Insights, AEJ: Applied Economics, and the Review of Economics and Statistics.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
