
Arunabha Ghosh
Arunabha Ghosh is a public policy expert, author, and institution builder, serving as the founder-CEO of the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW). Under his leadership, CEEW has become one of Asia’s leading policy research institutions and a top global climate think tank. He played a key role in establishing the International Solar Alliance and was a founding board member of the Clean Energy Access Network. Ghosh advises governments, industry, and international organizations on energy, environment, and climate policy. He serves on India’s Commission for Air Quality Management and co-chairs the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on the Energy Nexus. He has held advisory roles for India’s G20 Presidency, the UN’s Expert Group on Net-Zero Accountability, and India’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy. In 2022, he received the Asia Game Changer Award for his contributions to climate and energy policy.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
