Alison Ong
Alison Ong is a postdoctoral researcher in the Corporate Climate Targets Cluster at the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability. Within the Cluster, her research focuses on the role of internal carbon pricing mechanisms for achieving corporate decarbonization targets. More broadly, her work investigates the political economy of the energy transition, particularly the dynamics between regulatory mandates and market forces in the electricity sector. She holds a PhD in Environment and Resources and an MA in Economics, both from Stanford University.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
