Adrian Deveny
Founder, Climate Vision
Adrian Deveny was, until recently, the Director of Energy and Environmental Policy for Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, where he led the climate and energy negotiations for Leader Schumer on the Inflation Reduction Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Energy Act of 2020, among other legislation. Adrian is now the founder of Climate Vision, a consulting firm crafting the future of transformational climate policy. Prior to joining Leader Schumer’s team, Adrian worked for U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley, serving as both Legislative Director and Director of Energy and Environmental Policy. He also worked for the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources as a fellow. Before his work on Capitol Hill, Adrian worked in the Office of Global Change at the U.S. Department of State, and in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy, as a Presidential Management Fellow. Adrian holds a Master of Environmental Management degree from the Yale School of the Environment, a Master of Arts degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
