
Aditi Surie
Aditi Surie researches digital labor platforms, worker well-being, and livelihoods in India. At IIHS, she leads the academic and policy research portfolio on technology and society. Since 2015, she has conducted sectoral studies on location-based and online labor platforms, examining working conditions, platform design, and associated risks. She is the co-editor of Platformization and Informality (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023), which explores Global South-specific frameworks for understanding platform work quality and regulation.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
