Harvard Law School Environmental Law Society to Present Dr. Robert Bullard with Horizon Award
On Tuesday, April 4th, Harvard Law School’s Environmental Law Society will present Dr. Robert Bullard with the Horizon Award. The Horizon Award is presented every year to an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to environmental law and policy. The award is a means of recognizing great people who have accomplished great things in the field of environment and natural resources law, and to provide a forum in which to discuss those achievements.
Often described as the father of Environmental Justice, Dr. Robert Bullard is an award-winning author of eighteen books and the Distinguished Professor of Urban Planning and Environmental Policy and Director of the Bullard Center for Environmental Justice at Texas Southern University. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to environmental justice, including the United Nations Environmental Program’s Champions of the Earth Lifetime Achievement Award and recognition from Apolitical as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Climate Policy. In 2021, President Biden named him to the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council (WHEJAC).
The award ceremony will take place on April 4th at 6PM in Austin Hall Room 100, 1515 Mass Ave.
