Jody Freeman, Archibald Cox Professor and Director of the Environment & Energy Law Program (EELP) at Harvard Law School, hosted a podcast on December 28, 2023 that provided an insightful and wide-ranging overview of global and U.S. developments in reducing methane emissions.

The podcast was recorded soon after the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP-28) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, in Dubai, and also summarizes key takeaways from the Conference – on methane emissions but also more broadly. Guests – all very-well-placed to provide insights into methane policy – were Bjorn Otto Sverdrup, Chair of the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative’s Oil and Gas Executive Committee; Riley Duren, CEO and Founder of Carbon Mapper; Peter Zalzal, Distinguished Counsel and Associate Vice President of Clean Air Strategies at Environmental Defense Fund; and EELP’s Executive Director, Carrie Jenks

Jody Freeman and Carrie Jenks are both collaborators in the Harvard Initiative on Reducing Global Methane Emissions. The podcast is an episode in EELP’s Clean Law series.
