Dennis Troper joins Salata Institute Advisory Board

The technology executive and philanthropist will put an innovative mindset and deep experience tackling complex challenges to work in service of climate progress.

Dennis Troper, MS, a Technical Project Management Director at Google.org and dedicated philanthropist, has joined the Advisory Board of the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability at Harvard University.

Throughout his 22-year tenure at Google, Troper has led product management for several product areas, including Search (Trust, Privacy, and User Data), Google Workspace, AdWords, and Fiber. Troper also serves as the President of the Troper Wojcicki Foundation, established in 2005 with his late wife, Susan Wojcicki. In her honor, he recently founded the Susan Wojcicki Foundation, an organization committed to transforming the early detection and prevention of lung cancer through breakthrough research and technology.

“Climate change is an extraordinarily important and complex challenge,” said Troper. “I am extremely enthusiastic about the expertise, energy, and global network that Harvard can bring to bear in the face of that challenge.”

At the Salata Institute, Troper will help shape strategic priorities, expand partnerships, and inspire durable, practical climate solutions grounded in Harvard expertise.

Originally from Costa Rica, Troper holds a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an MS in Applied Economics from UC Santa Cruz. He resides in the Bay Area with his four children.
