Novel Anxieties

Description

This graduate seminar offers an overview of seminal works of anxiety theory by Kierkegaard, Freud, Heidegger, May, Beck, Salecl, and Ngai, as well as in-depth analysis of modern and contemporary authors who thematize and formalize anxiety in their works (for instance, Joyce, Woolf, Larsen, Heti, Moshfegh, Andersson, Offill, Lerner, Cole).
