Flavor of Temperature: The Food System as the Nexus between Population & Habitat Health

Join the GSD Food Lab for a lecture by Jock Herron, a Design Critic in the Design Engineering program, which is administered jointly by the GSD and the Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Science.
Co-managing partner of family farms in southern Ohio, Herron was actively involved in developing a recently commissioned 305-acre 49mw solar farm; and creating two nature reserves with the Ross County Park District, one opened seven years ago and considered one of the state's "biodiversity hotspots" by the Ohio Nature Conservancy and the other opened this summer that geologists believe may be the largest calciferous fen in the world. He also served as Chairman of the Worcester Foundation for Biomedical Research which was merged into UMass Medical School and as a steering committee member of the Worcester Regional Food Hub initiative.
