This month in an open book group by the Harvard Alumni for Climate and the Environment (HACE), author Peter Lehner (College, ‘80) and Professor Emily Broad Leib (JD ‘08, HLS) will join us for a conversation about legal and policy hurdles to farming with net zero emissions and ways to carve a path forward. With the food system driving at least one third of climate change and most biodiversity loss, this transformation of our food system is critical. Peter Lehner, co-author of Farming for Our Future; The Science, Law, and Policy of Climate-Neutral Agriculture, is Managing Attorney of the Sustainable Food & Farming Program at Earthjustice and former Executive Director of the Natural Resources Defense Council. Emily Broad Leib is Clinical Professor of Law, Founding Director of the Harvard Law School Food Law and Policy Clinic and Director of the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation. The event will include Q & A and opportunities to network.
