Anna-Maria is a graduate student in sustainability at the Harvard Extension School and an early-
career impact professional. As a community-driven person, she has been involved in various student clubs and societies, such as the HES GDP student society and the HES sustainability student club,
where she has gained valuable teamwork, communication and leadership skills. In 2025, she
received the Community Connector award from the Harvard Extension Student Association. Her
professional interests lie at the intersection of public policy, sustainable finance and community
empowerment. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks with her dog, meeting her friends,
spending time in nature, volunteering and reading. Anna-Maria is grateful to be part of the Salata
Institute’s student ambassadors program, and she is looking forward to working together with
fellow student ambassadors and co-chairs on many impactful projects.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
