Cambridge’s November 4th city council election will determine which 9 councilors will represent you on issues like housing affordability, transportation safety, and the city’s response to federal policy. Join HUUSL for a Harvard Community City Council Candidate Forum on October 21st at 6pm in Science Center Hall D to engage directly with 13 candidates and learn about their vision for the city.

In Cambridge, the 9 city councilors, rather than the mayor, are the city’s ultimate policy-making authority. The councilors are elected via a proportional representation system where each voter ranks their preferred candidates, meaning that your vote could be crucial in determining the future direction of the city.

Join us for a two-hour forum to hear 13 council candidates share their perspectives on issues like housing affordability, transportation safety, and Cambridge’s response to federal policy, as well as answer attendee questions. In partnership with the Harvard Votes Challenge, attendees, including college students, will also be able to register to vote in Cambridge ahead of the 10/24 deadline!

This event is open to all Harvard affiliates and the broader Cambridge community.
