Jerwin Tiu
Jerwin is a first-year Master of Public Policy candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School, bringing a diverse research, technology, and social impact background. He recently graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and Marketing. Prior to HKS, Jerwin contributed to research initiatives with NASA as a research assistant and documented community stories as an Oral Historian with the Oral History Research Center. His work with the National Football League on Super Bowl philanthropy programs further reflects his commitment to impactful projects. Jerwin also founded a startup dedicated to creating AI-driven platforms for English language learners and students with speech disabilities. At HKS, he aims to deepen his work at the intersection of technology and public policy while expanding his focus to include healthcare and sustainability.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
