Srimayi Tenali
Srimayi Tenali is a first-year doctoral candidate in business administration at Harvard Business School. She is part of the Technology & Operations Management (TOM) unit, which examines how firms design, manage, and improve their operating systems and processes across challenges in today’s demanding environment. Her research interests focus on corporate climate behavior – specifically, how do organizations make strategic decisions about climate action? How do they integrate sustainability into their core operations?
Srimayi received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Energy Studies from MIT. As an Anne-Wexler Fulbright Scholar, she received an M.S. in Sustainability from the University of Sydney. Prior to beginning her PhD, she worked as an Associate at the Boston Consulting Group, where she primarily worked with clients on climate and sustainability strategies. Outside of academics, Srimayi enjoys reading, traveling to new places, and staying active by playing tennis and volleyball.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
