Srimayi Tenali
Srimayi Tenali is a second-year doctoral candidate in Business Administration at Harvard Business School. She is part of the Technology & Operations Management (TOM) unit, which examines how firms design, manage, and improve their operating systems and processes in today’s complex and demanding environment. Her research focuses on how firms translate climate commitments into operational and strategic action. As part of the Salata Institute’s Net Zero Cluster, her current work analyzes why and how firms set, pursue, and achieve net-zero targets, and evaluates the credibility and effectiveness of different approaches to corporate climate action.
Srimayi received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Energy Studies from MIT and an M.S. in Sustainability from the University of Sydney as an Anne Wexler Fulbright Scholar. Before beginning her PhD, she worked as an Associate at the Boston Consulting Group, advising clients on climate and sustainability strategies. Outside of academics, Srimayi enjoys reading, traveling, and staying active through tennis and volleyball.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
