Gunnhildur Fríða Hallgrímsdóttir
Gunnhildur Fríða Hallgrímsdóttir is a senior in Eliot house, studying a double concentration in Economics and ESPP, originally from Iceland. She originally got involved with climate acvtivism with the Fridays for Future movement, and is deeply passionate about legislative change. In Iceland, she serves as deputy member of Parliament with the Pirate Party, focusing on climate legislation. At Harvard, she does research with the Arctic Initiative, runs the Harvard Rethinking Economics chapter, and has been a FIP leader all years. Her hobbies include theater, music, mountaineering and traveling.
The Salata Institute
The Salata Institute supports interdisciplinary research that leads to real-world action, including high-risk/high-reward projects by researchers already working in the climate area and new endeavors that make it easier for Harvard scholars, who have not worked on climate problems, to do so. Faculty interested in the Climate Research Clusters program should note an upcoming deadline for concepts on April 1, 2024.
